When the new construction of a building obstructed the views I had previously enjoyed from my beautiful rental unit at the Park Hyatt Residences, Melinda, in very short order, found an even larger unit for me at the Four Seasons Residences which offered much-welcomed lake and harbor views.
The small difference in price made me appreciate Melinda?s business acumen. Intrigued by the construction of The Elysian and its residences, I then asked Melinda what might be available for me there. This is when I truly began to appreciate her skills. She found a stunning residence and negotiated an excellent price.
Given that my current lease would expire several months after the beginning of the new one, this presented a bit of a challenge for me, since it would require me to pay double rent for a 2-month period.
I agreed to this nonetheless, and was completely thrilled when Melinda asked if I would consider vacating in December as she found a new tenant who would like to move in. It was as though she waved a magic wand and conjured up the perfect solution!
After quickly putting my things in storage, I enjoyed a very happy holiday period prior to my January 2010 move-in, secure in the knowledge that Melinda had made 2 ½ months of very expensive rent disappear!
Now that I have decided to stay in Chicago, I?m already in the process of having Melinda help me find a place to purchase. In light of her past performance I can hardly wait to see what happens next!
